Led by Experienced Wildlife Rehabilitator
Magnolia Hills Wildlife Rehabilitation is led by Cindy Haskett, Executive Director, a permitted wildlife rehabilitator with more than eleven years of hands-on experience. Before founding and operating Magnolia Hills Wildlife Rehabilitation as an independent 501(c)(3), Cindy served in leadership roles at two wildlife rehabilitation centers, including as a program manager, rehabilitation coordinator, and a veterinary room lead. Those roles gave her extensive experience across multiple species, stages of care, and rehabilitation needs.
Cindy is permitted by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. She is also federally permitted through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to rehabilitate most migratory birds. She works closely with a licensed veterinarian when animals require medical evaluation, treatment, or care beyond her scope of expertise.
Cindy also participates in ongoing wildlife rehabilitation training, both remotely and in person. This includes attending the annual National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association conference and traveling to train at other wildlife facilities.
Her approach is centered on responsible, species-appropriate rehabilitation with one goal in mind: giving wild animals the best possible chance to return to the wild.

Our Specialty: Predator Species
Magnolia Hills Wildlife Rehabilitation specializes in predator species, including foxes, bobcats, coyotes, and other carnivorous wildlife. These animals require specialized housing, handling, diet, enrichment, and release preparation. We also accept other native wildlife when space, time, permit authority, and care capacity allow.
Why Predator Rehabilitation Matters
Predators are an essential part of healthy ecosystems. Foxes, bobcats, coyotes, raptors, and other predator species help maintain balance in native wildlife populations. When these animals are injured, orphaned, or displaced, proper rehabilitation gives them the best chance to return to the wild where they belong.
Our Approach
Our goal is not to make wild animals tame. Our goal is to provide appropriate care while preserving wild behaviors so animals have the best possible chance of survival after release. Whenever possible, we prioritize reunification, minimal handling, species-appropriate housing, proper diet, veterinary care, and release readiness.

Building Better Wildlife Enclosures
A major goal for Magnolia Hills Wildlife Rehabilitation is to build improved predator enclosures that provide safe, spacious, species-appropriate housing for animals preparing for release. Predator rehabilitation requires room for movement, reduced human contact, natural behaviors, and secure containment. We are also working toward expanded flight space for birds of prey.
Donations toward this project help fund materials, construction, safety upgrades, and species-appropriate habitat features. Because Magnolia Hills is entirely volunteer-led, donations directly support the care, supplies, veterinary needs, and facilities required for rehabilitation.

Magnolia Hills Wildlife Rehabilitation is a 100% volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We do not have paid staff or salaries. Donations support the direct needs of wildlife rehabilitation, including food, medical supplies, veterinary care, housing, enrichment, and facility improvements.
Every gift helps provide care for native wildlife and supports the facilities and supplies needed to prepare animals for release.

We are based in Magnolia, Texas and assist with wildlife cases as capacity allows. If you have found injured or orphaned wildlife, please text before intervening whenever possible. Include your location, a photo or video if safe, and a brief description of what happened.
